Introduction

Hello! My name is Emma, and I am a currently a student at Wellesley College majoring in Neuroscience and minoring in Teaching and Learning Studies. In addition, learning Spanish has been an interest of mine for years and I am grateful to have been immersed in the language by both studying abroad and interning in Córdoba, Spain. I studied abroad with PRESHCO in Spring 2022 and was originally planning to go back to the U.S. at the end of May. However, I fell in love with Córdoba and was lucky enough to find a summer internship here funded by the Wellesley Spanish Department that aligns with my interests and is meaningful to me. I am excited to extend my time here to continue improving my Spanish and building relationships. Through this blog, I will share stories about my summer as well as my internship experiences at ACPACYS, a nonprofit organization that serves people of all ages who are affected by cerebral palsy and other disabilities. I hope this blog will inspire future PRESHCO students and/or ACPACYS interns to make the most out of their time abroad, whatever that means to them. Most importantly, I hope this blog will highlight the power of the small things.
